In 1979, after over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Joe Impastato opened Impastato’s in Metairie. Only 5 years before, his brother Sal opened Sal and Judy’s in Lacombe.

Recently went for a work function and had the 5 course dinner. It was amazing from start to finish. The homemade fettuccine was delicious, shrimp scampi was delicious, the filet was out of this world and for dessert I had the blueberry and banana pie! I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!
The five-course meal choices are amazing! We each had an appetizer, pasta , salad, entree and dessert, plus a great bottle of wine. Everything was delicious! The service was impeccable! Although this was a spur of the moment choice, we will certainly be coming back.
Great atmosphere and setting. Quiet, relaxing. Service is quick and accurate. Polite, loved her wine selection of Pinot noir. Had the calamari, fried oysters and special of the day. Great food and big portions, had more than enough and will definitely go back soon.
This place is amazing, we love coming here. Management is very accommodating and welcoming. If you want the best Italian on the Northshore you better get your butt over there quick. The tiramisu and the CAPPUCCINO are something you won't regret getting after a delicious meal here.
Very good dining experience. Party of 4 all enjoyed service, drinks, food and experience in this great place that was moderately busy and well staffed. The five course dinner is a good choice, but be hungry or you will be taking stuff home. They will box it for you after each course if you desire...
